1.
Different color of belt and shoe on one outfit.

Isn’t is a complete pain when you rock gorgeous, neat and classic wears and still look awkward in a group picture? It gets worse when you just can’t lay you hand on the cause!!.
Well check your Belt and Shoe color. Do they align?
Cos when they don’t align, it singles you out as odd. Someone with clothes not as classy as yours will look better than you. Oh what a complete fashion disaster!
Don’t let ignorance or negligence make you a fashion embarrassment over something so little that you could’ve easily avoided.

Trousers overlapping over shoe.

Except you are 80+ in age, you have zero excuse wearing trousers that puddle over your shoes, well except your legs are completely covered with warts. lol.
It makes you look funny, old fashioned, and dull.
No one is saying your trousers should be like something wey dey fear ground! It shouldn’t be too above your ankle and also must not puddle over your shoes.

Frankly speaking, only children whose parents bought Christmas cloth they are to wear for the next 5 years dress that way.
But you are grown. Dress grown!
3.
Wrong Tie Length

In Nigeria, you can tell this man is a religious person with just the length of his tie.
But what is wrong is wrong. And religion largely as we know it is keen on doing things right. Well that’s fashion inclusive.
Dressing rightly not only makes you look good. It also commands respect. And if it is true, people are addressed as they are dressed then knotting and wearing your tie wrong will land you being treated like a clown. ooops!

4.
Socks on native

Socks are for English wears. Take it far away from native wears.
Ex-President Goodluck Johnathan fall my hand and legs on this one. You would think only local men make fashion mistakes like this but here we have a highly respected Nigerian Leader and one time president making such hideous mistake. It proves its not about having money, its about Understanding. So in case you didn’t know, I am teaching you now.
No dey dress like Masquerade. lol. I’m serious!

5.
Lace-up shoes on native wear

Like the previous point, Lace up shoes, sneakers and the likes are for English wears. I’ve seen reputable Nigerian celebs doing this, so you see, my friend, its not about Money or reputation, what you don’t know, you simply don’t know and must learn. That some people get away with it doesn’t make it right.
But What Shoes should you wear on your native then?
Well you can wear loafers, moccasins, boat shoes, and all other shoes that are not dress shoes (no lace-ups)

Dirty Shoes

Fun Fact: Shoes are the first thing anybody notices about you
Now when the first thing people see about you is dirty…..(uh huhn you know it)!
So when you dress sharp: color – check, material – check, style – check, but you wear a dirty shoe, you’ve ruined it all!!! ALL!
Now “dirty” never looks good except you’re a Mechanic on Duty 24/7!
Also , No matter how good a cloth is, if it is rocked when dirty, it just wont look good.
PLEASE Maintain your cloth with all diligence, Shoes inclusive! Wash, Wipe, Polish, do whatever to make it SHINE.

I know you look good on those bright well-tailored cloth. But you will look even better with the RIGHT accessories. From watches, to cufflinks, to necklaces, to belts, to rings, to bracelets, to eye glasses even to nose masks.
Now i’m not saying have chains on you like Rick Ross or the ALL-FLASHY Migos.
